Agroindustrial Brazil

The agroindustrial business in Brazil is expanding in large steps. According to IBGE (the official Brazilian agency of statistics), the growth of the agroindustrial business was 13,7%, when comparing 2007 to 2006. From 117 million tons, the production of the fields got up to the mark of 133 million tons, a new record for the economy (last one was 123 million tons, in 2003). Soy and Corn were responsible for the most part of the crops, with more than 22,5% of the production.
