Agroindustrial Brazil

The agroindustrial business in Brazil is expanding in large steps. According to IBGE (the official Brazilian agency of statistics), the growth of the agroindustrial business was 13,7%, when comparing 2007 to 2006. From 117 million tons, the production of the fields got up to the mark of 133 million tons, a new record for the economy (last one was 123 million tons, in 2003). Soy and Corn were responsible for the most part of the crops, with more than 22,5% of the production.

Real is worthy less than Euro, Pound and Dollar

Brazilian Real is worthy less than the leader currencies in the world, such as Euro, British Pounds or American Dollar. Not only absolute prices are usually lower in Brazil than on these countries, the difference between the value of a Real or an Euro contributes to invest in Brazil. Properties, stocks, services are all cheaper in Brazil.

1 Euro is worthy 2,60 Reais.
1 American Dollar is worthy 1,75 Reais.
1 British Pound is worthy 4,00 Reais.

Any investment in Brazil will be favoured by the currency factor.

2nd on Foreign Investment

Brazil has just reached the 2nd place on the list of develloping countries recieving the largest amounts of foreign investment. Just after China and its glorious economic moment, Brazil has reached this place by having more than 56 billion dollars invested on Brazilian companies. Some of these are traditional companies like Vale and Petrobras, but newer names have been assuring their places on the list, such as Itautec, Embraer, Gerdau, Votorantim and Obredecht. From these, Gerdau is the most successful on foreign investment, with 54% of its incomings are from other countries.
